Hi! I'm Katie, your new stylist here at Altered Ego! I'm originally from California but moved here about 7 years ago with my family. My specialties are blonding, vivid colors, extensions and trendy haircuts. I find myself feeling most inspired when a guest brings me a vintage look that they want to modernize. I'm Kenton, I am a seasoned stylist that believes that to meet the needs and goals of my guests, continued education is essential.

A bit about me... my humor is a bit sarcastic and I love a good joke. One might find me spending my spare time in my garden and hanging out with my 3 dogs. My passion is the chemistry of hair and color. My goal is to maintain the hair's integrity while tailoring it to your needs and lifestyle. I can also teach you how to maintain your look at home between visits.

I understand the environmental challenges associated with the desert and offer many services to correct these issues. A few services I have found helpful to combat the dry climate are smoothing treatments, conditioning treatments, and Malibu treatments. I am happy to help you pinpoint the correct one for your hair.

I also enjoy traditional highlights, gray blending, and solid colors from reds to pale blonds. I am experienced in perms and have been doing them since the late 80's. I am a precision cutter and though I do clipper cuts, I do not practice barber fades.

Since I believe in maintaining the integrity of your hair, I do require a consultation prior to some chemical services. Please ask for a pre-chemical consultation. Thank you in advance and I look forward to meeting you.

My name is Jenny and my pronouns are they/them. I love to do razor cuts, shags, and mullets. I use intuitive cutting techniques, meaning each cut I do is uniquely customized for your specific hair texture, face shape, personal style, etc. My chair is a safe space; I welcome you as you are and love to make you feel at home at my station. My name is Angie, I am a color specialist here at Altered Ego Salon. i love to transform your hair and help you get the look you truly want. I have experience in all types of techniques from traditional highlights to a low maintenance, lived-in look. I love to see inspiration pictures of your perfect color and style so bring in photo references.

As we live in a dry, desert climate many of us struggle with dry hair. We carry several products to help with all the things. We will pinpoint your hair challenges and I will provide solutions and training on how to maintain your hair.

When I'm not behind the chair, I'm spending time with my 3 kiddos. I am fortunate to be able to work part-time so you will find me at Altered Ego Salon Wednesdays through Fridays and every other Tuesday.

I do require a reservation fee to book longer appointment times. However, this deposit goes towards your service and is fully refundable or transferred to a rescheduled time as long as you can give me a heads up of 24 - 48 hours before your appointment.

I'm Charissa, I have been doing hair professionally since 2014. I specialize in blonding. In fact, most of my clientele are beautiful highlights and balayages. I have been working hard over the years to perfect the art of blonding. You can always book a consultation with me to figure out which blonde is best suited for you as well as go over pricing and maintenance. I recommend booking your colors appointments in advance as my evening appointments are very popular! I have the amazing opportunity here at the salon to be a part-time worker. I am a mother to an amazing son and beautiful twin girls, and working part-time allows me to be both a hairstylist and a mom. Hi there my name is Marla, thanks for taking a second to get to know me. I am a wife of 23 years and a mother of two. I LOVE animals and the outdoors, we love to go camping in our RV with our family, friends and our 3 dogs. I have been in the beauty industry since 1991 and recently returned to the salon both working behind the chair and acting as the salons Education Director for our Apprenticeship Program. Some of my favorite things about doing hair go deeper than just the hair. It’s about building relationships and helping you feel and look your best!

My name is Michelle, I am a stylist with all the love for traditional highlights and lived-in color. I am an Arizona native and received my cosmetology degree from Penrose academy in Scottsdale. My current goal is to expand my knowledge in the chemistry of hair. I will use that knowledge to work with you and get you to a hair style and color that works for you. I have worked alongside many successful and experienced stylists all over the valley allowing me to collect tools of my trade. When I am not in the salon or watching my favorite hair artist on YouTube, I am hanging out with my kitties, going to the gym, or trying something I've never done before. I'm Drea, short for Andrea. I'm an Arizona native, born and raised in South Phoenix. Helping everyone know how to love and care for their hair in this Arizona heat is my passion.

Getting into the beauty business at almost 20 years old did not feel like work for me. I took it as giving makeovers to people who need a little confidence boost. As women, I believe we should build each other up!

I've been a stylist for 9+ years now and honestly every day I grow into a better stylist. I specialize in lived-in balayage, color, long and short women's cuts (no pixies), curly hair, blow-dries/styles and more. Every day I experience so many strong, beautiful, fun women with awesome energies. I like to say we grow together through our time together.

As a Latina with Mexican parents, I know coming across a bilingual stylist can be rare. Lucky for you I am fluent in Spanish! If you have a relative that is more comfortable speaking Spanish or you yourself are more comfortable with Spanish, I am happy to oblige. I am all about what is comfortable but also sometimes what's outside the box.

When I'm not behind the chair I'm usually hanging out with loved ones and my pups, golfing, finding new places to eat or enjoying a little retail therapy. You can catch me at karaoke nights sometimes, too. I love to sing and dance like nobody is watching!

My name is Chandra and I've been doing hair professionally since 2008. I can't decide if I like cutting or coloring more! I love to do short, sassy cuts. I want to give you that cut that takes minimal effort to style on a daily basis while still looking fabulous. When it comes to coloring, I love to formulate custom colors for my clients.
